Sunroom Water Damage Repair

When siding is installed without a proper vapor barrier or flashing, water infiltration is inevitable. This sunroom had a single bead of caulk and no membrane behind the siding — within a year, the framing was rotted through. We stripped it down, replaced the damaged wood, wrapped all exposed framing with a continuous vapor barrier, and applied liquid flashing at every penetration and transition. The result is a sealed, weathertight envelope that will last for decades.
